- Luckily, Woody and I talked before this got any more out of hand.
-
- My use of the word "undercut" communicated something significantly
- different than my intention.
-
- It wasn't my intention to imply that Softwood was trying to screw over
- Amiga users--that's why I nodded approval at Softwood's chosen method of
- penetrating the PC market.
-
- I understand the that very different market realities make it virtually
- impossible to introduce a new word processor to the PC market at $100,
- just as it would be virtually impossible to survive selling an Amiga WP
- for $20.
-
- Nevertheless, I feel that this difference in price for what is more or
- less the same product is bound to cause some friction. I know that this
- is not Woody's intention, and that he hopes to be able to continue to
- support the Amiga with the money that will (hopefully) be raised through
- PC sales.
-
- I apologize for the misunderstanding.
